International Journal of Biotechnology and Computational Science 

(IJBTCS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal based in the UK, dedicated to advancing research in biotechnology and computational science. The journal integrates biological insights with computational power to foster scientific innovation.

We publish quarterly issues and organize three international conferences annually. IJBTCS features two main publishing streams:

• Research Track: Peer-reviewed scientific articles.

• Conference Track: Proceedings and extended abstracts from IJBTCS-organized conferences.

Our Review Process:

• Authors receive the first editorial decision within 3–7 business days.

• If accepted, the manuscript undergoes peer review and final publication within 30 days.

All articles are assigned DOIs via CrossRef, and the journal will soon carry an official ISSN. Submissions undergo a double-blind review process and are managed by subject-matter experts.

Journal Scope

The International Journal of Biotechnology and Computational Science (IJBTCS) publishes research at the intersection of biological experimentation and computational innovation. Each submission must present a clear computational approach—whether through modeling, simulation, data analysis, or tool development—that supports or enhances biological research.

The journal comprises three specialized categories, each with a dedicated section:

• Biotechnology Section: Focused on molecular biology, microbiology, genomics, and related disciplines, with results interpreted or guided by computational methods.

• Computational Science Section: Dedicated to algorithmic studies, bioinformatics, machine learning, and theoretical modeling applied to life sciences.

• Development of Tools and Software Section: Highlighting new computational tools, platforms, or pipelines designed to accelerate biological discovery.

IJBCS fosters an integrated scientific environment where biological insight is both informed by and dependent on computational thinking.

Call for Papers

We are currently inviting submissions for Volume 1, Issue 2, to be published in October 2025. Authors are encouraged to submit original research, reviews, methodologies, or software tools that reflect the journal’s integrative focus.

Manuscripts should clearly demonstrate the use of computational approaches in addressing biological challenges or provide computational frameworks that support life science research.
