Indexing & Archiving Policy
The International Journal of Biotechnology and Computational Science (IJBCS) is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, discoverability, and academic visibility of all published content. Our indexing and archiving policy is designed to meet international standards for scholarly publishing and to support the academic impact of authors’ work.
Indexing
IJBCS actively collaborates with reputable indexing databases to increase the global reach and citation potential of published articles. Our editorial team works continuously to maintain high publishing standards that align with the requirements of academic indexing services.
The journal is currently under review and/or indexed in the following databases:
-
Google Scholar
-
CrossRef (DOI registration for all articles)
-
Dimensions
-
Semantic Scholar
-
ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources)
-
DRJI (Directory of Research Journals Indexing)
-
PKP Index
We are actively applying for inclusion in Scopus, Web of Science (ESCI), DOAJ, and PubMed Central.
Indexing in these databases ensures that articles published in IJBCS are easily discoverable by scholars, institutions, and funding bodies worldwide.
Digital Archiving
To safeguard the scholarly record, IJBCS employs digital archiving strategies through trusted third-party services. This ensures that all articles remain permanently accessible, even in the unlikely event that the journal ceases publication.
Our archiving partners include:
-
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Ensures secure preservation by maintaining distributed copies across multiple institutions.
-
PKP Preservation Network (PN): A network-based system that preserves content published through Open Journal Systems (OJS).
-
Internet Archive: Public archiving of all journal webpages and articles.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites immediately upon publication. Proper citation to the original publication in IJBCS must be included.
This policy is in full alignment with the principles of the Open Access movement and the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
Benefits to Authors
